Two years ago, today, my Mother-In-Law passed away.
On August 5, 2012, I shot this portrait of her for a movie casting website that she had signed up with.
To be honest, I didn’t really know much about off camera flash photography going into the shoot.
It was the first portrait that I shot with my new off camera strobe setup that I thought was worthy enough to put my watermark on.
While Nicole was walking the dogs this afternoon, I thought about practicing portrait shots similar to the DFH shoot.  I wasn’t exactly sure how long Nova would stand there and pose.  I ended up having to talk to her about going to see Grandma and Grandpa tonight for dinner and she was content for about 2 minutes.
The last two photos were the best, only because I kept saying “one more photo” and she kept saying ok. Â Finally, she threw her hands up in a “WTF” fashion, which ended up being the last shot because she just walked away from the set and said “all done”.
